I thoroughly enjoyed this and in addition to the insights into the women's performances, I was interested in the various elements you take in as you watch a show. I look forward to reading more!
I didn’t get the chance to see Julie’s performance, but I agree with everything you’ve said here. Really cool to hear from someone who saw all three women in the same role during this run. Thank you for this piece.
I'm very close to someone who works backstage and who is extremely imbedded in all the action/drama since rehearsal began. I can tell you that Julie is much loved and highly regarded.
This was an intelligent review and I agree with his treatment of Beanie. I saw her in June and honestly, she was so miscast that it was hard to see beyond her limitations. I'm certain Julie and Lea are much better all around (acting & singing) and as for Beanie, I hope she gets another chance to redeem herself. She's talented; no doubt about it, but she needs to find the right property. FG wasn't it.

Wonderful review and compare/contrast, Greg!
